You cannot ignore West Bengal while talking of India. Despite lagging behind in Industrial and Agriculture sector, its mention is must while discussing the economy of India. Being one of the largest supplier of intellectuals and art lovers in India, this very fact  compelling enough to transform the states towards its original glory during the British Raj.

As PM Narendra Modi unveiled his vision for India till the year 2047, the 100th anniversary of India's independence and took a pledge towards making India a third largest Economy of the world, it is quite important that we talk about West Bengal.

India cannot achieve its vision without the Social, industrial and Agricultural transformation of Bengal. It was quite common to say in early years that " What Bengal Thinks today, India thinks tomorrow". But years of apathy under Communist rule followed by hot and cold administration of TMC resulted in degradation of Social and economic resources of the state. No economist can make models for the growth of the country with revenue generating states being countered by revenue absorbing states. To make a fiscal balance, We have to transform Bengal.

The Current initiative- Bengal@Today&Beyond  or Bengal@2025-47 is step towards achieving a social, economic and political mark for Bengal in next 10 years. This initiative strives to induct intellectuals, Students, Professionals, Politicians, NRIs and Movie Stars from the state towards a common digital and offline platform to brainstorm and formulate policies for the development of Bengal and engage with lawmakers of the central and the state towards executing them.

PARC remains the nodal agency for this initiative and will be generating detailed micro and macro manifestos of the various regions of the state and will engage with other intellectual stakeholders towards formation of pressure groups to engage the state lawmakers and ensure that voices at the ground are heard at the highest levels of political hierarchy.
